Language is important.

The impact of using this word to imply the most despicable kind of person, the worst insult we can throw at someone – is so powerful because its largely done unconsciously.

When we grow up, and we come across this word that has probably been hidden from us, or at least the meaning has, it embeds deep in our unconscious that our vulva and vagina are something very, very bad.

My deep wish is that we reclaim this word that has so much disgust and violence and with this reclamation, we bring back honour and pride and the remembrance that our yonis are a divine temple through which we have access to spirit.

And that every girl can grow up PROUD of her yoni, instead of being ashamed of it or, at best, disconnected from it.
