The awakening

This poem is about what happened to the feminine over the last few thousand years of the patriarchy supressing the wildness, the freedom, the gifts, the magic, the sexuality and the bodies of women - and what’s happening right now on the planet….

It’s a poem that came to me in 2018 - and it’s an amalagamation of stories told to me by living women who shared their experiences of persecution received through visions, dreams, memories and lived experience…and it’s a collective poem. It lands strongly because we all carry this in our bones.
