Spring Equinox - or Ostara - marks the transition from the dark half to the light half of the year...
During this time when the earth is full of growth, fertility, blossoming and blooming - we make space to meet what is it in us that needs holding with tenderness, gentleness and love.
In this ceremonial sauna, we will be tending gently and deeply to our Inner Maiden.
This is the part of our soul that represents our curiosity and our playfulness, our joy and our desire to grow.
And yet so often she was not fully met during our teenage years, and so she shrank and hid in order to protect herself.
In the sauna we will work with cycles of hot and cold, with sauna whisks to support the body, with drum and sound and song to carry us into connection with our most precious and tender parts, to bring these parts back into the light.

the power of ritual sauna
We can sit in a sauna and chat a bit and sweat a bit and relax.
Or we can use the power of ceremony to transform the sauna into a ritual space for deep release and integration.
Our ritual saunas are unique and powerful experiences.
These spaces are akin to the Sweat Lodges or Inipis in that they are sacred spaces held for purification, connecting with spirit, connecting more deeply with ourselves. However, our spaces do not follow these indigenous traditions - they are something we have created ourselves in the sauna space - they are soft, feminine spaces held by drumming and singing and the support of sisters and the womb matrix we create when we gather together.
We use thermal sauna whisks which are bundles of branches and herbs that facilitate the movement of steam and energy in the sauna they are also applied to the body in forms of massage and compresses for deep physical and emotional release.
We hold these spaces in deep prayer and reverence.
Safety is at the core of all we do - we are trauma-informed facilitators and we understand that in order to go deep, we need to feel safe - our aim is to create a safe-enough space for everyone who comes - we are constantly uplevelling our practice and if you have any concerns, please contact us.
Our spaces are clothing optional - YOU CHOOSE- if you want to be naked, you are welcome. If you want to wear whatever you need, you are welcome.
what is Sauna whisking?
This tradition comes from Nordic, Baltic and Russian saunas.
A traditional sauna whisk is made from a bunch of birch leaves (although we use various trees and herbs depending on the needs of the ceremony).
These whisks are used to move the steam and water around the sauna, to massage the skin with tapping, sweeping or brushing movement, to provide deep heat to specific points on the body.
Combined with the steam from the sauna, the plants release oils and aromas that can soothe, reduce inflammation, calm, offer antimicrobial benefits, and release tension.
In sauna culture, thermal whisking is know as vihta, vasta or venik.
On a purely physical level, it helps open the pores, exfoliate the skin, and stimulate the body’s natural detoxification processes.
The sensation of sauna whisks on the skin in the heat of the sauna is exquisite and has to be experienced to be understood - the whisks support deep release, absolute presence and helps us to drop DEEPLY into our bodies and our psyche, to feel the unfelt things, to release that which no longer needs to be carried.
Sauna whisks are ultimately a tool for deep embodiment, release and transformation.

Sarah and Kate offer the most magical bespoke private ritual saunas - if you have a transition that you are passing through - be it grief or loss or celebration - matrescence or menopause, birthdays, marriages, divorces…..these ceremonies are powerful ways to support transition.
We offer Wild Dreaming Saunas across the land for soft hearted, untamed, tender women.
Step into the world of the sauna and being held in this warm sacred place.
Here you will be met with joy, tenderness, warmth, ritual, peace and comfort.
Sarah and Kate will take you through several rounds of gentle, yet powerful rituals.
Each sauna ceremony is created with the women who are attending the sauna in mind.
We work closely with the seasons of the earth and the power of a woman’s body, so each ceremony and its rituals will be completely bespoke.

And most of all our big open hearts making space to meet you all exactly where you are.

Prices start at £300 for a 2 hour ceremony for up to 10 people - depending on location (not including sauna hire).
