The Season of the Witch is upon us…..
The Witch Wound manifests in so many different ways
One of the most insidious and least talked about is the impact that it has on our sexual energy.
The Malleus Maleficarum, published in 1486 - the most influential witch-hunting manual - claimed that women were more prone to witchcraft because they are more carnal and their lust is insatiable.
Female desire was literally treated as the mechanism of the crime.
Women were often forced to confess to having “sex with the devil” and the sabbath was imagined as an orgy. Interrogators pushed for these details, extracting a “sexual testimony”.
Accused women were stripped, shaved and examined for the "devil's mark," often on the genitals, then pricked to find an insensitive spot. State-sanctioned sexual humiliation was part of the procedure.
The women most at risk were outside male control: widows, unmarried women, and older women, often poor, and often with a reputation for being difficult.
The accusations targeted sexual and reproductive "deviance."
These included illegitimate births, abortion, infanticide, and “causing impotence.”
The Malleus even includes stories of witches stealing men's penises.
No wonder that today, we are living in this paradox where female desire is suppressed, shamed and vilified, whilst female sexuality is fetishised and exaggerated when it is put on display for men.
The truth is this:
Our sexual energy is wild and potent and innocent and pure and holy.
Our sexual energy is a healing force - both for ourselves and for the world.
It is not seedy or dirty or shameful or wrong.
In this ritual we are going to be exorcising shame from our erotic energy and desires and reclaiming the healing power of our sexual energy together.
where is the witch?
We all know about the triple goddess - Maiden, Mother, Crone.
But there are 4 seasons of the year.
Four seasons in a woman’s life.
Four seasons of the menstrual cycle…
The missing archetype is the Witch…the Wild Woman….the Sorceress…the Maga…
She is our POWER, our MAGIC, our WILDNESS and our SEXUAL ENERGY
She’s been rejected from our collective psyche because she became too dangerous for women to inhabit.
But not anymore.
It’s time to call her back!

In this ritual, we are going to be tuning into the power of our sexual energy by getting in touch with our supressed sexual desires.
The ones we are too ashamed to share.
The things we would never dare to ask for and the things we try not to think about.
The deep aches within us that we are deeply ashamed of.
(Don’t worry, you don’t have to share any of these with anyone else - unless you want to of course!!)
And we are going to be transmuting the shame attached to these sexual desires.
And alchemising our sexual energy into something holy and innocent and healing and beautiful
S0 that we can use it as medicine.
As a balm for our souls.
We’ll be chanelling it as wildness and power and truth
we are calling back our capacity to as sex witches, medicine women who hold their power in the charge of their sexual energy
